With this decision by the supervisory board, we believe that Südzucker’s executive board is ideally positioned for the tasks ahead," said Dr Stefan Streng, chairman of the supervisory board of Südzucker AG.

Until Hans-Peter Gai joins the board, the responsibilities of the departing Dr Thomas Kirchberg will be temporarily managed by Dr Niels Pörksen, CEO of Südzucker AG; the executive board responsibilities will be reorganised in the near future. The function of labour director will be transferred to Dr Niels Pörksen as of 1 September 2022.

Südzucker’s executive board would like to thank Dr Thomas Kirchberg for his dedicated and successful work for the company and for the many years of trustful cooperation.
