RVmagnetics introduces the future of wireless measurement with the smallest passive microwire sensor in the world. Their sensor can directly measure various parameters and is thin and elastic like a human hair. The sensor can be directly integrated into the belt itself to provide real- time monitoring of temperature and strain, allowing the prediction of belt failure.
About Open Innovation Challenges
This Open Innovation Challenge was based on Continental’s search for innovative sensors that could be integrated into the rubber belts used in the automotive and industrial sectors, allowing predictive maintenance. Organizations use Open Innovation to access more diverse sources of ideas and talent. The goal is to find opportunities to solve unmet needs with the help of the right partnerships. INAM organises and hosts Open Innovation Challenges on behalf of their members as well as any interested parties who would like to expand the innovation potential of their organization.
