- What is the most important enabling technology for software-defined vehicles within the purview of role/experience?
- Software-Defined Vehicles demand that OEMs make substantive changes to their development process for both hardware and software. What are some of the things that OEMs can do to ease this transition?
- Traditional organization structures are not well-suited to the dynamic competitive environment of software-defined vehicles. What are some of the short-term and longer-term initiatives that OEMs should consider in order to adapt their organizations to the needs of SDVs?
Michael Wintergerst joined CARIAD – the newly founded brand of Volkswagen Group – in August 2020 as Executive Vice President for the domain Vehicle & Cloud Platform. In this position he is responsible for the in-vehicle operating system VW.OS, the Automotive Cloud VW.AC, Data & Analytics infrastructures, Connectivity, Updateability & Lifecycle Management and a variety of Online Services. Michael and his team create a uniform digital ecosystem both for in- vehicle and cloud deployments that allow for shorter innovation cycles and better customer experience.
Matthieu Lainné joined WirelessCar as Business Development Manager in 2021. Prior to this, he held several international positions at Renault and Nissan, most recently as Digital Vehicle Technology & Services General Manager at Nissan. Matthieu has seventeen years of experience in the automotive industry within Information Systems (IS/IT) and Program and Product Planning.
Marco Lanzetta is currently General Manager Cross Carline – Connected Cars, Future trends & Innovation at Kia Europe in Frankfurt. In this role he is defining, together with his team, the European direction for in vehicle technology.
Alex Oyler is SBD Automotive‘s leading expert on a wide range of technical and strategic subjects related to software in the automotive industry, ranging from in-vehicle software to cloud computing. He works with automakers, suppliers, and tech companies to define, design and implement their software-defined vehicle strategies across the globe, helping industry stakeholders optimize their strategic investments in new technologies and software that underpin the future of personal mobility. Alex began his career in the American telecommunications industry, working as a cloud solutions architect for connected vehicle applications. He joined SBD Automotive in 2015, leading the company’s research & consulting efforts in emerging domains such as over-the-air software updates, software-defined vehicles, and end-to-end solution design.
