achelos GmbH will be on hand at the virtual DMEA 2021, the leading European trade fair for digital health, from June 7 to 11, 2021. The Paderborn-based IT security firm is once again Bronze Partner at this year’s DMEA fair, where it will be showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of products, solutions and services for secure digitalisation in the German healthcare sector. Alongside an informative online presence, achelos will also be presenting innovative concepts and security-related topics from the field of eHealth in the trade fair’s Solution Hub.

The highlights on show by achelos at this year’s event include a new version of the WAN-SIM test laboratory for flexible simulation of the telematics infrastructure and secure storage of health data with the TI Pass, with which the required keys of the electronic health card (eGK) can be securely managed on smartphones, as well as the high performance test suites of the TLS Inspector product line.

The virtual trade fair presence will be flanked by practical presentations from Christof Basener, Director eHealth Solutions, and Tanja Schumacher, Sales Manager Health, in the Solution Hub at the DMEA. In a total of three brief presentations, the team of experts from achelos will highlight practical ways in which the electronic health card (eGK) can be used, as well as addressing data protection and security aspects within the scope of healthcare digitalisation.

Digitalisation in the healthcare sector is gathering pace

"The electronic health card (eGK) remains the central anchor for digitalisation in the German healthcare sector. Indeed, the eGK card provides a great deal of scope for combining innovative ideas with existing IT security standards. In addition, TI Pass allows electronic identities to be securely managed, which leads to significant added value for everyone involved in the eHealth system," explains Kathrin Asmuth, Managing Partner at achelos.
