*** POSTPONED – Unfortunately, the exercise had to be postponed to make way for a real emergency***

The municipality of Schömberg will prepare for an extraordinary exercise that will demonstrate the local fire brigade’s operational readiness and also emphasize the cooperation between different organizations in case of emergencies. priomold GmbH, a leading company in the plastics industry, will host this large-scale exercise.

To ensure that everyone involved is optimally prepared, a pre-exercise meeting was held on 4 October. This meeting clarified the roles and responsibilities of all participants and developed a realistic exercise scenario. The scenario includes various scenarios, including rescue from a roof, people forgetting to check out, onlookers, and panicking people rushing into the building to rescue relatives or colleagues.

The entire Schömberg fire brigade will actively participate in this exercise, with the Schömberg, Bieselsberg, Langenbrand, Oberlengenhardt, and Schwarzenberg departments working together. The exercise will be led by chief commander Rainer Zillinger, and high-ranking guests such as mayor Matthias Leyn and the managing directors of priomold GmbH – Moritz Zumdick and Thomas Schönbucher – will be on site to emphasize the importance of this event.

During the exercise, effective communication and coordination between the fire brigade, the company’s security staff, and other organizations involved will be crucial. This underlines the importance of cooperation in emergency situations and the need to be well-prepared.

After the exercise is completed, a thorough evaluation and debriefing will take place, where all participants can analyze how the exercise was conducted and provide feedback. This step is crucial to identify possible weaknesses and make improvements.

Of course, after the hard work, the physical well-being will be taken care of. A barbecue will be organized, inviting all participants to relax and fortify themselves before safely making their way home.

Über die priomold GmbH

The fairly young company, founded by Thomas Schönbucher and Moritz Zumdick in 2015, specializes in the rapid delivery of plastic injection molded parts, offers mold construction (over 500 new molds per year) for prototypes and small series, as well as engineering support in the field of plastics. In the meantime, the company has grown to over 75 employees and is continuing to expand. What essentially sets priomold apart is its short delivery times for molds, injection molded parts and additively manufactured components. The fastest project was completed in two working days; on average, a new mold is ready within two to three weeks. Multiple awards as Growth Champion and TOP100 for Innovation 2022 are the confirmation of priomold’s development.
