The Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI), patron of the project "Federal License Management", has opted for the central implementation of Raynet’s Software Asset Management (SAM) solution RaySAMi.

The bidding consortium, led by Deloitte, won the public procurement procedure of the BMI’s procurement office with the combination of Deloitte consultants‘ technical expertise and Raynet’s state-of-the-art technology. As part of the nationwide "consolidation of services", the BMI is aiming to introduce a solution that enables modern license management in German authorities.

"By implementing RaySAMi as the central SAM solution for our customers in the public sector, we have taken a decisive step towards efficiency and transparency in Software Asset Management. RaySAMi enables our customers to monitor and control all aspects of their software inventory. This allows them to increase their cost efficiency and minimize compliance risks," says Jan Minartz, Partner Risk Advisory at Deloitte.

The Federal Ministry is also supported by HiSolutions AG on the subject of License Management in the development and implementation of forward-looking SAM strategies. The decision to offer Raynet’s Software Asset Management solution as a framework agreement in the Federal Ministry’s department store to around 90 federal authorities entitled to call it up was the result of an intensive evaluation and selection process, at the end of which Deloitte was able to prevail against several competitors with the RaySAMi software solution.

"RaySAMi and in particular the RayVentory inventory component with its large number of ready-made connectors seemed ideal for the heterogeneous government environment. We are convinced that the solution will take License Management in the authorities to a new level if we succeed together in anchoring the use of the tool organizationally and procedurally in everyday License Management in the authorities," explains Martin Baumgartner, Team Manager and Principal SAM at HiSolutions.

RaySAMi is the result of a close technology partnership between Raynet and USU. The synergy effect of the mutually complementary product approaches and the technological market leadership in the areas of SAM and IT Visibility have produced a solution that meets the needs of customers and the market better than ever before. After all, a License Management solution is only as good as the data it processes.

Transparency, automation, and control over all IT assets are the result of a successful data transformation and form the fundamental basis for modern Software Asset Management. With over 20 years of experience in the market and the solutions developed with it, the partners agree that they provide the best solution for the BMI.

"We are delighted that the BMI has chosen our technology on behalf of many federal authorities. This is a significant milestone for us and illustrates our mission to realize the "Discover to Manage" philosophy at the federal level. This selection marks the beginning of a joint journey in which we collaborate with our customers to not only manage existing resources, but also to discover and utilize new potential and to accompany them beyond the SAM context," says Ragip Aydin, CEO and Managing Director of Raynet.
