Nuclear reactors have a lifespan of 40 to 60 years. The most powerful nuclear power plant in the world is located in Japan and is called Kashiwazaki-Kariwa. At full capacity, it can supply more than 16 million households. In contrast, the world’s most powerful solar park, the Bhadia Solar Park in India, only supplies 4.5 million households. Solar panels cannot match the lifespan of nuclear power plants. They need to be replaced after about 25 years. These figures illustrate the power of nuclear energy. And it is remarkably clean and safe.
The times when it was easy and cheap to rely on fossil fuels are over. Understandably, interest in nuclear energy, and thus in uranium and uranium companies, is steadily increasing. Between 2016 and 2023, only one new nuclear power plant came online in the USA. Now, more than a dozen are in various planning stages. President Biden signed the law banning Russian uranium imports on May 14. The USA had no significant uranium enrichment programs until the end of 2023, but there is a rethink underway.
We cannot do without nuclear energy. By 2050, electricity demand is estimated to increase by 86 percent. At the same time, there is a push for CO2 neutrality. This puts uranium at the center of growth and change. Uranium and uranium companies should therefore represent potentially attractive investment opportunities. Therefore, it would be worthwhile to take a look at companies like Uranium Royalty or Premier American Uranium, for example.
With Uranium Royalty – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/uranium-royalty-corp/ -, investors get the only royalty company in the uranium sector into their portfolio.
Premier American Uranium – https://www.commodity-tv.com/play/premier-american-uranium-ceo-insight-on-acquisition-of-american-future-fuel-and-whats-next/ – owns high-quality uranium projects in Wyoming and Colorado.
