"Digital transformation is a continuous process that has been underway at GROB for a long time," explains Emil Nigl, Product Sales Manager Digitalization. "A lot has happened since the first GROB-NET4Industry applications were presented at EMO 2015 in Milan. We have come a long way to be able to integrate not only our own machines, but practically all machines and devices into a holistic digitalization concept."
Automated transfer of tool data
At the in-house exhibition, the focus in the area of digitalization is particularly on showing visitors a holistic approach to digitalization and automation of the tool cycle in the company. In cooperation with COSCOM, Zoller and GROB’s own product GROB4TDX, various systems will be demonstrated live at the in-house exhibition, which work together seamlessly from presetting to the machine and thus enable efficient and automated production. GROB4TDX closes the gap between the tool management system and the machine and enables the automated transfer of tool data. "This development is an indispensable step for any machining company that wants to distinguish itself in the future through efficient and automated production," emphasizes Benedikt Gundling, Product Manager Digitalization at GROB.
Live applications for the digitalization of automated production will also be on display at the in-house exhibition. GROB will use its GROB Mobile Robot (GMR) to show how manufacturing processes can be easily digitalized. The digital twin provides insights into the monitoring and optimization of fully automated production of the future.
In-depth insights through daily technical presentations
Visitors can also look forward to further information in a daily technical presentation: Under the title "GROB-NET4Industry – cost savings through digital tool handling", Benedikt Gundling will guide visitors into the world of GROB-NET4Industry. "What began with the first small steps in the field of Industry 4.0 is now developing into an impressive example of cross-system connectivity and direct cost savings through digitalization thanks to the digital transmission of tool data by GROB4TDX," explains Benedikt Gundling. "With this application, tool data is transferred automatically, which means immense time savings and increased efficiency for our customers."
The in-house exhibition also offers the opportunity for a direct and active exchange with the employees of the Center of Excellence Digitalization. This means that all questions relating to digitalized production can be answered first-hand.
The presentation of GROB-NET4Industry at the in-house exhibition 2024 offers visitors the opportunity to experience the latest developments in the field of manufacturing technologies and to see the many benefits of digital networking for themselves.
