Voltfang’s "New Life" system is primarily aimed at customers who want to achieve financial and sustainability benefits using the energy storage system. With rising energy prices, decarbonisation obligations and the need for security of supply and flexibility, the demand for high-performance green energy storage systems is growing considerably.
"With the latest development of our product portfolio, we have proven that high performance can also be sustainable. Our goal is to accompany our customers on the path to decarbonisation with disruptive solutions that offer real added value. The introduction of the "New Life" modules will take our storage solutions to a new level and enable our customers to save even more on their energy costs," said David Oudsandji, founder and CEO of Voltfang.
The modules for the New Life battery actually originated from overproduction for the automotive industry – they are completely new and have never been installed before. Instead of destroying the modules and releasing more CO2, Voltfang has incorporated them into high performance batteries. The net capacity of the "New Life" compared to Voltfang’s standard battery has increased from 33 kWh to 45 kWh, giving a gross capacity of 58 kWh and making it particularly suitable for use in charging infrastructure, food retail and commercial applications with high power peaks.
"The "New Life" commercial storage system is an innovation that resulted from close exchange with our partner network and our own internal technical product development. It demonstrates the commitment to quality by both Voltfang as well as our partner network" said Afshin Doostdar, CTO of Voltfang.
Voltfang is an innovation driver for sustainable and high-quality energy storage systems for commercial and industrial applications. Based in Aachen, Germany, the company produces high-performance and cost-effective battery storage systems from reusable electric vehicle batteries. The company uses software developed in-house to determine the service life of the batteries. Thanks to continuous monitoring and operating systems, the battery storage systems achieve a service life comparable to that of new systems. The first projects have already been implemented for major customers such as Aldi Nord and Schaltbau. Voltfang was founded in 2020 and is committed to a greener future and a functioning circular economy. The company has a history of steady growth and a diverse team. https://voltfang.de/
