Vehicle manufacturers are striving for ever more efficient and ecologically sustainable forms of propulsion, thus, powerful and above all sustainable batteries are becoming increasingly relevant. At the "International Vienna Motor Symposium", IAV will demonstrate how alternative battery cell technologies can provide the next leap forward in storage systems.

At the three-day conference in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace (26-28 April), Berlin-based technology company IAV will present the so-called "twin battery", a development approach in which sodium ion cells work in tandem with solid-state cells and benefit from each other thanks to an alternative thermal management concept – tailor-made for short- and long-distance operation of e-vehicles.

The IAV lecture (28 April) entitled "On the Way to a Sustainable Vehicle Concept Part 1: The High-Voltage Battery" also describes tools and methods, such as electrophysical-chemical cell simulations, allowing for significant progress to be made on development time and costs of battery technology.

The highlight of IAV’s booth is an interactive exhibit that allows visitors to configure a battery solution tailored to their needs on screen based on key parameters such as weight, power or costs. IAV will also present a drivetrain model for fuel cells for use in commercial vehicles.

IAV’s exhibition booth is located on the ground floor of the Congress Center. IAV experts will be available there for discussions.
