According to Bundesbank data, household financial assets continued to shrink in the third quarter of 2022.

The assets of private German citizens are around 23 billion euros less than in the previous quarter. This includes cash, securities, bank deposits and claims against insurance companies. Nevertheless, more was saved. Money in checking or call money accounts increased, after all there is interest again, albeit less than real interest rates are eating up. The total net financial assets of private households amounted to 5357 billion euros in the third quarter of 2022. Gold is seen as a hedge, and in 2022 around 6.05 million people among the German population (aged 14 and over) owned gold. In 2021, gold owned by private households in this country amounted to around 9,089 tons. That is significantly more than the German Bundesbank, which owns only around 3,400 tons of gold.

In the past, there were always times when private gold ownership was banned, whether by U.S. President Roosevelt, Lenin or Mussolini. Today, gold still stands for the preservation of wealth, especially when confidence in paper currencies is waning. Those who are flirting with gold coins can take a look at the new Britannia investment coins with the motif of the British head of state King Charles III. They are available in gold, and later also in silver and platinum. According to the Royal Mint, by the way, about 25 percent more gold coins were sold in 2022 than in 2021. The Royal Mint also sold about 70 percent more precious metal to Germany than in the previous year. So, gold coins seem to enjoy great popularity. The stock portfolio should also include some gold companies, such as Tudor Gold or Gold Terra Resource.

Tudor Gold owns the nearly 18,000-hectare, past producing Treaty Creek project (gold, silver, copper) in the Golden Triangle, British Columbia.

Gold Terra Resource’shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AdhgnKK-Gw – Yellowknife City project is located in the Northwest Territories in the prolific Yellowknife Greenstone Belt.
