"Charging stations become business cards with charging capabilities"
"We are pleased that businesses and residential customers can now personalize their wallboxes with individual front panels. This is where the charging know-how of HEIDELBERG meets the printing expertise of WIRmachenDRUCK," said Robin Karpp, managing director at Amperfied GmbH. “Charging stations thus become a business card with charging function.”
Johannes Voetter, founder and partner of WIRmachenDRUCK GmbH added: "With HEIDELBERG, we have a highly competent partner at our side whose intelligent e-mobility products fit into our modern product portfolio and our large B2B and B2C customer base. Whether installed in front of the supermarket, at the hotel parking lot or privately—with the individually printed front panels, every Wallbox becomes a stylish, modern advertising space."
Customized wallboxes available now
The wallboxes Home Eco and Energy Control with cable lengths of 5 m and 7.5 m are now available from the WIRmachenDRUCK webshop (www.wir-machen-druck.de). The tried-and-tested Wallbox Home Eco is aimed at residential customers that want to equip their garage, carport, or parking space with a single charging station. The Wallbox Energy Control with integrated load management enables several vehicles to be charged simultaneously, making it an attractive charging solution for company and hotel parking lots. Both charging stations are suitable for outdoor use due to their protection level and valuable, durable metal housing. Starting in the fall of 2022, the new smart Amperfied Wallbox connect.home will also be available through WIRmachenDRUCK with an individually printed front panel. The Wallbox connect.home combines the easy handling of the Wallbox Home Eco with practical features such as app connectivity and RFID authorization.
Eligible variant for businesses
If the wallbox is to be used exclusively for charging company vehicles as well as employees‘ private cars, business owners can take advantage of KfW’s "Charging stations for electric vehicles – companies (441)" funding program. In this program, KfW, a German state-owned investment and development bank, subsidizes the purchase and installation of charging stations at parking spaces not accessible to the public with EUR 900 per charging point. Eligible for funding is the Wallbox Energy Control. A maximum of EUR 45,000 is subsidized per company location.
In a package with a wallbox or individually as an exchangeable panel
WIRmachenDRUCK supplies the charging stations from HEIDELBERG in a package with the individually printed front panel and the original pre-assembled panel. The panel consists of 3 mm thick acrylic glass and is printed in digital printing process 4/0-color (full color) with the desired motif. The printed panels are weather resistant and comparable in quality to the original panels.
Interchangeable panels can be used to retrofit existing charging stations from the Wallbox Home Eco and Wallbox Energy Control product families or to order additional panels with other custom motifs.
Background: development of e-mobility in Germany
The wallboxes with individually printed front panels enable businesses to serve the growing group of customers with own electric cars. According to German Federal Motor Transport Authority (laut Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt), 44.3 percent of all new passenger car registrations in the first half of 2022 were equipped with alternative drive trains (electric, hybrid, plug-in, fuel cell, gas, hydrogen). The share of all-electric cars in new registrations was 13.5 percent in the first half of the year.
