In its daily report, the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) classifies the gas supply situation as tense but stable. The supply of gas to end consumers via the German gas distribution system operators of the E.ON Group continues to be reliable and secure. E.ON gas customers in Germany continue to be supplied reliably in accordance with individual contractual agreements. The gas volumes contracted by E.ON on the European energy wholesale markets are currently provided by the suppliers in accordance with the contracts signed.

E.ON continues to monitor market developments closely. In the current situation, it is crucial that the German government now creates the necessary framework conditions for a possible scenario of a significant reduction in gas import volumes in order to ensure the ability of the relevant players to act and to stabilize the markets and gas supply. This includes_in particular_a specification of §24 of the Energy Security Act (Energiesicherungsgesetz). In the event that the Federal Network Agency determines a significant reduction in the total gas import volumes to Germany, the additional costs from a replacement procurement for omitted gas imports should be passed on more evenly and in a more calculable manner.
