“Finally, FeuerTrutz is back in business! Although the last reunion was just six months ago, the enthusiasm and anticipation in the sector and among the team here at NürnbergMesse are nevertheless huge. And with good reason: There are no longer any restrictions on personal interaction, so we can finally revive our popular after-work event, for example. In addition, some exciting new developments like the relocation to new halls and digital matchmaking option are energising the atmosphere. The participation of 206 exhibitors from 14 different countries is evidence of the strong commitment by the FeuerTrutz community. The event is occupying 85% of the exhibition space booked in the 2019 pre-pandemic year. It has grown considerably compared with 2020 and is now the main event for the sector in Europe, which makes us immensely proud. The fantastic innovations on display at the stands, interesting presentations in the exhibitor forums and spectacular live demonstrations at the Fire Protection EXPERIENCE herald two brilliant days full of high points,” says Stefan Dittrich, Director FeuerTrutz at NürnbergMesse. Around 1,000 delegates are expected on site and online at the parallel Fire Protection Congress. As usual, they will enjoy first-class knowledge from prominent industry renowned experts on the latest topics in preventive fire protection, divided into three congress streams. This makes the Fire Protection Congress the No. 1 platform when it comes to professional development and knowledge transfer. To reach an even larger audience, all presentations will also be available as a live stream this year,” says André Gesellchen, Head of the Fire Protection Programme at FeuerTrutz Network.
Trending topics on the stages at the exhibitor forums
The two exhibitor forums, located right at the heart of the trade fair action, are the first port of call for all fire protection designers, certified experts and other fire safety professionals keen to find out about new products and current trends. Over the two days of the fair, exhibitors will take the floor on each stage to present their innovations in a series of TED-style talks, answer questions and discuss the latest trends with the audience. One highlight will be a stream devoted to the topic of BIM solutions in fire protection, consisting of five interesting presentations on advances in BIM from the perspective of various companies, with insights into tried and tested products and practical examples. These sessions will take place from 13:00-15:30 on the afternoon of the second day in the forum in Hall 4.
Training and career opportunities at FeuerTrutz
As well as knowhow transfer, training and professional development options and the placement of skilled personnel are the second main component of the FeuerTrutz supporting programme. For fire protection professionals seeking advanced training or a new challenge, there are two essential ports of call: the Training & Career Meeting Point (Hall 4, Stand 4-532), where interested trade fair visitors will find nine major training providers and can learn about various training and professional development options, and the FeuerTrutz Job Board. The platform for job vacancies and job searches is available online at www.feuertrutz-katalog.com/jobs-und-career as well as on site in Hall 4, Stand 4-427.
Innovative young companies are the future of preventive fire protection
For the second time, the participation of start-ups and young companies in FeuerTrutz is being systematically supported as an investment in the future of preventive fire protection. The “Innovation@FeuerTrutz” pavilion allows start-ups and young companies to present themselves to a professional audience at FeuerTrutz, showcase their innovative products and processes, and establish contact with industry insiders and prospective customers. Why not drop by Stand 4-222 in Hall 4 to experience the new world of fire protection.
Live tests of products in realistic scenarios
One of the annual highlights that reinforces the hands-on atmosphere of the event is back in 2022: the Fire Protection EXPERIENCE. In a combination of indoor presentations at the exhibition stands and the outdoor demonstrations, fire protection can be experienced at first hand as products are demonstrated live to the professional audience in realistic scenarios. They include fire resistant fabrics, walk-through smoke curtains, a fire protection simulator and a high-performance extinguishing turbine. The around 15-minute demonstrations will be held on both days of the fair at 12:00 and 15:00.

Top-class professional development at the FeuerTrutz Fire Protection Congress
In the light of changes to building legislation, new regulations, current codes and technical developments, there is nothing more important in the fire protection field than continuing education and training. The around 1,000 delegates at the Fire Protection Congress will be keeping up to date with the latest developments. Organised by FeuerTrutz Network GmbH, the congress takes place parallel to the FeuerTrutz exhibition in the NCC Ost congress centre at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg and will also be live streamed this year. “Divided into three parallel congress tracks in the mornings and afternoons, the key topical issues in preventive fire protection will be discussed in no less than 40 presentations. Renowned specialists will provide insights into issues like the recent important amendments to building legislation and discuss how state-of-the-art and cost-effective solutions that meet protection goals can be achieved when designing fire protection. The focus of this year’s congress is: Between standards and individual cases: concepts and evaluation for fire protection in existing buildings”, says André Gesellchen, Head of the Fire Protection Programme at FeuerTrutz Network. A separate ticket is necessary for the Fire Protection Congress.
