‘When it comes to living and working comfort, Mostra Convegno is the global meeting place par excellence in the air conditioning industry. In the past years and also in the future, heating and cooling will be treated as one solution such as heat pumps,’ says Gianni Parlanti, Managing Director of BITZER Italia and Green Point Servizi Industriali. ‘Already today, both technologies are interconnected. In order to use them as energy-efficiently as possible, there are various digital applications. This also ensures the best possible service.’ The focus is on the multimedia experience of the digital BITZER product world and the Green Point service network: fair visitors can look forward to a diverse programme that includes the BITZER Digital Network (BDN), intelligent control solutions and the Green Point services, as well as after sales.
Lecture programme in Italian and English
Half-hour lectures at the BITZER K21 stand will allow visitors to delve deeper into the topics that move BITZER and the industry. These lectures will also provide information about current trends and developments in the field of refrigerants. ‘The development of refrigerants is one of the most discussed and equally complex topics in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Thus, it will also be one of the most discussed topics during Mostra Convegno 2022. What comes next?,’ says Parlanti.
An important lecture on this topic will be given in English by Dr Heinz Juergensen, Director Application Engineering and Product Performance at BITZER Germany, and in Italian by Pietro Trevisan, General Manager of BITZER Italia: ‘The EU F-Gas Regulation – The New Refrigerant Path from 2024 Onwards’ // ‘Il Regolamento Europeo F-Gas – Il nuovo percorso dei refrigeranti dal 2024’. History has shown that refrigerant regulations have become stricter with each revision. The existing EU F-Gas Regulation 517/2014 showed a path until the year 2030. The proposal for revision published on 5 April 2022 shows a path beyond 2050 with a much steeper phase down from 2024 onwards. This looks much more like the ‘phase out’, already named as such by several important politicians. The impact on refrigeration and air conditioning, the options available and the necessary next steps for the industry will be discussed in the lecture.

Courses offered by the SCHAUFLER Academy
For those of you who cannot be at the trade fair in person and enjoy the range of lectures: the SCHAUFLER Academy, the international training centre run by BITZER, offers courses throughout the year on current issues affecting the industry – both in person and virtually: training programme overview for the SCHAUFLER Academy. Project engineers, specialist planners and service and installation specialists worldwide face ever greater demands due to environmental and efficiency regulations, new refrigerants and electronic components. Continuous training is therefore essential. Experienced BITZER engineers and technicians run the courses and know not only the theoretical requirements but also the practical operating conditions of refrigeration installations very well. The best system does not work to its full potential if it is not operated by skilled professionals. The training programme offered by the SCHAUFLER Academy is constantly updated and developed. If anyone is interested in specific topics or teaching languages, they are welcome to contact the training centre team at the following email address: academy@bitzer.de.
