The ema Work Designer of imk Industrial Intelligence GmbH, a scientifically based simulation software for virtual workplace design and process planning of industrial production processes using a 3D human model, is one of the first products to receive the seal of approval "approved by MTM ASSOCIATION". The certificate confirms the conformity of the automated generation of MTM-HWD® process descriptions and MTM-UAS® analyses with the requirements and standards defined in the test criteria (see also the blog post "ema Work Designer speaks MTM-HWD®"). This makes ema Work Designer currently the only software worldwide that can calculate a certified MTM analysis directly from the 3D simulation.

On the occasion of this certification, the long-standing cooperation between imk and MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. resulted in a contractual agreement to mark and distribute ema Work Designer with the MTM label.

The contract was signed in Dresden. Present at the signing were the two contracting parties (in the picture in front) Prof. Dr. Lars Fritzsche, CEO imk Industrial Intelligence GmbH, and Prof. Dr. Peter Kuhlang CEO MTM ASSOCIATION e. V., also (in the picture in the back from left) Oskar Heer, Member of the Board of Directors of MTM ASSOCIATION e. V., Dr. Hans Fischer, former Managing Director of MTM ASSOCIATION e. V., Dr. Jens Trepte, Managing Director of imk automotive GmbH and Franz Coriand, Business Unit Manager Digital Solutions of Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH. The trademark license agreement will come into effect on May 1, 2022.

For Lars Fritzsche, the benefits of certification are obvious. "We use MTM’s expertise and reputation to give our customers the security of a globally recognized standard for work design and time evaluation." According to Fritzsche, this means that imk’s simulation software also stands up to critical scrutiny by the social partners.

In this context, MTM CEO Peter Kuhlang emphasized that not only software providers and consulting companies benefit from the certification of their products. "The seal of approval also makes sense for companies that use MTM. They can prove to partners that they themselves work according to MTM standards – and they can specifically search for partners who are MTM-certified."
