Many trade fairs were cancelled or postponed due to the Corona pandemic, among them the Motek 2020. All the greater were the expectations on the Motek 2021 and as to what extent the sanitary measures (visitors to be vaccinated, recovered or tested) and the limitation of the number of visitors would influence the event.
At the end of the four days at the trade fair, CETA achieved a very positive result. As expected, there were fewer visitors than in pre-corona times. However, the contacts were on the whole more valuable with in-depth discussions on technical points. The participants were obviously enjoying personal contact and exchange after a long time of online events. And all those who chose to come in spite of anti-corona sanitary measures had clear objectives.
„Valuable discussions, interesting contacts, concrete projects“, was the summary of Dr Joachim Lapsien, sales director of CETA Testsysteme GmbH, on this year’s exhibition at the Motek 2021 trade fair in Stuttgart.
This is impressively reflected in the evaluation of visits to CETA’s exhibition stand: there was a very high rate of relevance A discussions (more than 50 %). The percentage of foreign visitors (this time only from neighbouring European countries) was a gratifying 25 %.
More than 25 % of the contacts asked for an on-site visit and agreed to make test parts available for feasibility trials and to send non disclosure agreements and specification sheets.
The technical discussions were especially focussed on applications in the fields of electromobility, detection of minor leak rates by means of tracer gas, medical technology, flow testing and high-pressure leak testing.
More than 15 % of the contacts purposefully visited CETA’s exhibition stand because they were, for a variety of reasons, looking for alternatives to the testing technology used hitherto in their plant. Of major importance in this context was CETA’s comprehensive package including high-quality test devices with three-years warranty, internationally accepted calibrations according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025, international network of CETA’s cooperation partners, worldwide use of CETA test devices in renowned companies and CETA’s way of project handling focussed on customer and solutions. The customers also emphasised in this regard the importance of long-term collaboration with a financially stable company (credit rating 1,7).
There was a particularly positive response to the free CETA online seminars targeted at machine builders offered in November 2021 in connection with the project „CETA Digital“. These seminars cover various aspects of practical integration of leak and flow testing in the production process. Further information on the online seminars is available on CETA’s website (online-seminars), the virtual forum „Motek VIRTUAL“ and on CETA’s social media channel at LinkedIn. The first registrations have already been received during the Motek trade fair.
Solution partner for industrial leak and flow testing
CETA Testsysteme GmbH, based in Hilden near Düsseldorf, was founded in 1988 and has been active for more than 30 years as a manufacturer of physical measurement instruments used in leak tests and flow measurements. Compressed air and hydrogen are used as test media. These testing procedures are characterised by the fact that they can be integrated in the production line with high process reliability.
The test equipment "Made in Germany" is developed in-house and along with the components and accessories (e.g. calibration standards) are manufactured by CETA. The customers are mainly from the automotive industry, medical technology, heating and air conditioning industry, fittings and household appliances industry, packaging industry and e-mobility.
The company is certified according to DIN ISO 9001 and won the NRW Quality Award in 2002 in the industry category.
