Each day of LC Week will have a different technological focus: on Monday, December 6, the event will start with an update on the role of UV technology – especially in disinfection. In the afternoon, the focus will turn to the laser module and fiber optics product areas. Attendees will learn how today’s laser modules adapt to the changing demands of machine vision and what role optical fibers play in medical technology and other industries. They will also gain insight into the work of LASER COMPONENTS’ R&D department and its key role in implementing demanding customer specifications. Tuesday, December 7, will be devoted to the question of which parameters are important in laser optics and other laser-related technologies. Wednesday will then focus on IR technology. Experts from the LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group in the USA will also be present to report on current projects in the various segments of detector technology. In the IR News Flash that will follow, participants from last year’s IR Sessions will give brief updates on how their projects have developed since then. On Thursday, December 9, the latest trends and developments in LiDAR technologies will be highlighted before speakers conclude LC Week with a look at the promising world of quantum photonics with the topic of photon counting.
“LC Week is the most ambitious online project we have put together to date,” explains Patrick Paul, CEO of LASER COMPONENTS. “Our aim is to present our optical and optoelectronic technologies in all their diversity and complexity in an entertaining way. You can’t accomplish that in a few minutes. You really need a whole week to do that.”
