Many Jewish artists between the ages of 30 and 40, born in the former Soviet Union, the USA, Israel or Germany, are questioning their identity, culturally, religiously and artistically. Many of them hold several passports and belong to the "Third Generation," they are the grandchildren of Holocaust survivors.
Are the prospects of life for young Jewish people in Germany sustainable eight decades after the Shoah or will anti-Semitic hostility and criminal offenses increase? Will the members of the Third Generation remain in Germany or seek new homelands?
The panel:
Deborah Feldman (Author)
Hetty Berg (Director of the Jewish Museum Berlin)
Laura Cazes (Spokesperson The Central Welfare Board of Jews in Germany)
Dmitrij Kapitelman (Author and musician)
Shai Terry (Singer)
Hosts:
