The new Opel Mokka is anything but ordinary. The new model is the first with the new Opel Vizor brand face (which extends across the front of the car and integrates several technologies), the redesigned Opel Blitz and the nameplate positioned centrally on the tailgate. It is also the first with the fully digitised Pure Panel cockpit. The new Mokka is available in two top equipment lines: as the high-end Ultimate, with innovative assistance systems as standard, and as the sporty GS Line.
As new videos on YouTube show, the new Mokka is great fun to drive – as all-electric Mokka-e or powered by internal combustion engines. The pacey editing of the videos underlines the “Less normal, more Mokka” key message. Inside the new Mokka, driver and passengers can look forward to the highest comfort.
Pure comfort: new Opel Mokka Ultimate
The high-end Ultimate (RRP incl. VAT from €28,210 in Germany) ticks all the boxes. The exterior features 18-inch light alloy wheels in BiColor black, a chrome-framed Opel Vizor, a chrome signature line and silver-coloured skid plates in SUV look front and rear. In addition to the extensive range of assistance systems already available on the entry-level version, Active Lane Assist, cruise control and adaptive IntelliLux LED® matrix light are also standard. The Opel Pure Panel provides a completely new cockpit experience, with its 12-inch, digital driver information display and top Multimedia Navi Pro infotainment system with 10-inch colour touchscreen. Route guidance becomes even more practical and time-saving in conjunction with the standard OpelConnect Services. The Mokka can avoid traffic jams in real time thanks to LIVE Navigation1. In addition, OpelConnect offers a direct link to breakdown assistance and emergency calls.
The Alcantara equipment with black seat covers promises maximum comfort in the new Mokka Ultimate. The driver and front passenger sit on six-way adjustable, heated seats. The heated leather steering wheel (Mokka with manual gearbox and Mokka-e) makes driving even more pleasant, especially in winter. Access to the Mokka Ultimate is very simple via remote control "Keyless Open & Start". As an absolute feel-good highlight, the new Mokka is available with Siena leather upholstery (from €430) including driver’s seat with massage function and electro-pneumatically adjustable lumbar support.
Pure sportiness: Opel Mokka GS Line
The Opel Mokka GS Line (from €25,670 in Germany) is especially sporty: The exterior design features 18-inch light alloy wheels in TriColor black, a black roof, black exterior mirrors and skid plates front and rear in SUV design. The Opel Blitz, the Mokka nameplate and the Opel Vizor frame are in high-gloss black. The characteristic red signature line creates a strong contrast. The interior features a black ceiling, aluminium pedals and red décor. The black seats with side cushions in premium leather-look have red stitching and design accents.
As on the Mokka-e, drivers of the Mokka Ultimate and GS Line with internal combustion engines can select different drive modes that adjust throttle and steering response. With the six-speed manual gearbox, the special engine sound of the additional Sport mode creates an individual driving experience. In combination with the eight speed automatic transmission, three drive modes are available: Sport, Eco and Normal. The Multimedia Radio infotainment system with seven-inch colour touchscreen is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Pure energy: Opel Mokka-e
In the video, the Mokka-e with its green bodywork and black roof and hood displays emission-free, electrified driving enjoyment. The electric motor produces 100kW (136hp) with 260 Newton metres of maximum torque immediately available from a standing start. Drivers can choose between three drive modes – Normal, Eco and Sport. With its 50 kWh battery, the Opel Mokka-e has a purely battery-electric range of up to 324 kilometres according to WLTP2. Whether wall box, high-speed charging or cable solution for the household socket, the new Mokka-e is ready for all charging options: from single-phase to three-phase at 11 kW. Furthermore, 100 kW DC charging capability is a standard feature of all Mokka-e versions.
Prices for the Mokka as battery electric vehicle start at €32,990 in Germany. Thanks to the German government’s financial support for innovative technologies, the car then costs only €23,420. Customers can therefore save up to €9,570 on their purchase of the Mokka-e.
[1] Preliminary range determined according to WLTP test procedure methodology (R (EC) No. 715/2007, R (EU) No. 2017/1151). The actual range can vary under everyday conditions and depends on various factors, in particular on personal driving style, route characteristics, outside temperature, use of heating and air conditioning and thermal preconditioning.
