AI accelerator cards from Innodisk

One of the greatest challenges on the way to a networked future with intelligent devices is the latency that occurs practically everywhere, i.e. the delay in data processing and transmission. With so many connected devices that generate so much data, networks are overloaded, which significantly hinders the further growth of the IoT. The best way to solve this problem is to move computing power to edge computing and the many devices that work there instead of sending all the data to the cloud for further processing.

The AI accelerator cards from Innodisk enable an up to 30-fold increase in the performance of edge computing systems. They are equipped with Movidius™ Myriad™ X-Vision Processing Unit (VPU) of the third generation from Intel®. They support the most popular deep learning frameworks via the OpenVINO™ toolkit, including Caffe, TensorFlow and MXNet. The VPU was specifically designed for neural network interference and is therefore suitable for a variety of AI edge computing applications such as face recognition, vehicle license plate recognition and many other image processing applications where fast processes are required. According to Innodisk, performance increases of up to 3000% are possible.
